Dairy company Farmel from Emmeloord in the Netherlands is taking over a majority stake in Veco Zuivel in Zeewolde. This will further intensify the existing cooperation between the two companies. The acquisition of this majority shareholding is still subject to approval by the authorities.
Farmel has been active as a purchaser of milk for over 15 years and has over 250 dairy farms, mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium, as suppliers. Veco Zuivel processes milk into a wide range of dairy products. These products are mainly sold to supermarkets in the Netherlands.
Veco Zuivel has a great need for a constant and high-quality sustainable supply of milk. Farmel benefits from a reliable and constant milk purchase. Farmel also wants to process its own milk.
