Mars and FrieslandCampina have started a new partnership focused on an accelerated reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the dairy production supplied to Mars. The collaboration between FrieslandCampina and Mars directly contributes to extra rewards for member dairy farms for their efforts, targeting lower greenhouse gas emissions with this partnership by -33 percent in 2025 and up to -50 percent by 2030 compared to 2015 levels.
FrieslandCampina, a trusted supplier to Mars for more than 30 years, plays a vital role in providing essential dairy ingredients like milk fat and cream for renowned brands such as M&M’s, SNICKERS and TWIX. This new partnership will dedicate a group of FrieslandCampina member farms that are part of the FrieslandCampina development group, specifically to Mars’ dairy supply. Mars compensates these farmers to implement, test and accelerate innovative greenhouse gas emission reduction measures, such as feed additives to reduce methane emissions.
