The ‘Intralogistics Day’ is part of a series of in-house exhibitions and customer events that SSI Schaefer intends to hold annually. After the inaugural event last year, the company once again invited logistics consultants and planners to its technology centre in Giebelstadt, near Würzburg. Around 35 participants from the DACH region and Belgium came together on September 24, 2024, to discuss current challenges in the industry and learn about solutions from the SSI Schaefer Group’s range of products and services.
Flexible and scalable solutions for step-by-step automation are particularly in demand. The experts from SSI Schaefer, DS Automotion, Ro-Ber and SWAN presented picking solutions with mobile robots, AGVs, gantry robots and tugger trains, references from the fashion and deep-freeze logistics sector and emulation for process optimisation in the implementation phase from the software sector. The presentations and discussions were complemented by live product demonstrations of SSI Schaefer Piece Picking and Case Picking, the Mobile Robots solutions with RackBots and AGVs as well as the Flat Pack Picking System.
