Inspiring innovation with consumer-driven protein, prebiotic and omega-3 concepts

FrieslandCampina Ingredients will return to SupplySide West (October 28-31, 2024) in Las Vegas, Nevada, to showcase its latest innovations in consumer-driven concepts. Visitors are invited to explore the company’s application expertise through a variety of delicious functional food, beverage and supplement concepts – including newly launched bars, gummies and fastmelts. With nearly a quarter of Americans saying a lack of time is a barrier to eating healthily, these samples have been designed to empower brands to innovate to meet growing consumer demand for convenient, on-the-go nutrition.

FrieslandCampina Ingredients aims to inspire innovation and boost consumer omega-3 intake with its recently launched algae-based Biotis® DHA Flex Powders, which can be used to create convenient and great-tasting food, beverages and supplements. The team will be on-hand to demonstrate the powders’ application flexibility through its latest tasty gummies and on-the-go fastmelt supplement concepts – designed to offer all the benefits of DHA with exceptional sensory properties in a format ideal for busy, health-conscious consumers.

Visitors are invited to sample a variety of delicious bar concepts that impart a good nutritional profile, without compromising all-important sensory properties. Plus, with new research indicating the benefits of casein protein in the prolonged release of amino acids, experts will be on hand to demonstrate how brands can use caseinates to develop science-backed solutions in convenient, tasty formats that go beyond the classic post-workout shake.

The company will also highlight its wider Biotis® portfolio at the event. Visitors to booth #2123 can sample gummies featuring Biotis® GOS, which has been shown to support gut health and mental well-being. Plus, delegates can explore how to take sports nutrition further with an exciting shake concept using Biotis® Fermentis, which combines the benefits of protein, prebiotics and probiotics by fermenting them together.
