Werner Stegmüller, CEO of Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller (UTM), has left the Müller group (total sales 2019 €5.5bn, + 4.2%, €4.2bn dairy sales). His position will not be replaced. UTM is now headed by CEO John Broekmans, COO Michael Singer, CFO Marcus Almeling and CHRO Silvia Buchinger.
Stegmüller joined UTM in April 2018 as COO and was promoted CEO ten months later. In Nov 2020, former Savencia manager John Broekmans took over his position as CEO. Since then, Stegmüller was no more responsible for the brand business of UTM but for delicatessen branch Homann (€664m sales). UTM are now selling off Homann. Candidates for the deal are Tönnies, Popp Feinkost, Johma and Novum Capital.
