The Culina Group, part of he Müller Group, took over UK logistics company Green White Star on 1 July. The logistics division’s contribution to the total turnover of the Theo Müller Group (UTM) will thus double to around 2 billion euros per year. With 22,000 employees, 5,500 vehicles and 2 million m² of warehouse space, Culina is the third largest logistics partner in Great Britain after DHL and XPO Logistics after the acquisition.
With the takeover, the Theo Müller group of companies will exceed the threshold of 7 billion euros in annual turnover, announced CFO Marcus Almeling. In addition to the logistics business under the Eddie Stobart and Eddie Stobart Europe brands, GreenWhiteStar Ltd. also includes iForce, a solution provider for fulfilment, returns processing and carrier management, The Pallet Network and The Logistics People, a staffing and recruitment company specialising in the distribution sector.
