Danone has again raised its sales forecast for the current year. Comparable sales should increase by seven to eight percent, the company announced. Previously, the management headed by Antoine de Saint-Affrique had expected growth of five to six per cent. The operating margin target of more than twelve per cent was confirmed. De Saint-Affrique announced further price increases.
Growth accelerated in the third quarter. Sales rose by 19.1 per cent to €7.3bn. On a comparable basis, the increase was 9.5 percent. The increase was solely price-driven. Increases contributed 10.9 percent to the growth. The volume sold, on the other hand, declined by 1.4 percent. Adjusted for the Russian business, it fell by 0.2 per cent.
