IoT sensor technology saves resources

Date: 13.08.2024Source: Collo

Collo, a Finnish tech company known for its Internet-of-Things analyzers for industrial liquid processes announces its new growth funding of 5 million euros. Collo’s technology is a combination of new sensor technology, based on electromagnetic sensing technology, and advanced analytics and machine learning. Its unique benefits are that the same sensor can be used everywhere across the plant, regardless of liquid’s properties. This offers real-time liquid measurement, enabling food and beverage companies to optimize production, save raw materials, reduce water usage, and cut CO2 emissions. For example, a mid-sized dairy plant can save up to 8 million liters of raw milk annually with Collo’s analyzer.

This is particularly exciting news for the industry, as there is a growing pressure and demand for sustainable operations and concrete actions (see the EU’s farm to fork strategy, for example). Collo provides an advanced, yet scalable and easy to use solution for dairy and beverage plants to meet these demands.  Collo’s current customers, including Fonterra, Danone, and Valio, have already benefited from significant reductions in product losses and optimized processes.
