Lactalis Italia achieved a turnover of €2.33bn in 2020. This represents 11 per cent of total dairy sales in Italy. Lactalis has over 30 production sites in Italy. The total annual processing volume is 1.4bn kg of milk. This is used to produce 265,000 tons of cheese with a protected designation of origin, plus more than 700,000 tons of liquid milk.
