On April 1, 2023, the Theo Müller Group acquired, among other things, the trademark rights and production of the Landliebe and Tuffi brands, including the production sites in Heilbronn, Cologne and Schefflenz, from FrieslandCampina. This was preceded by an intensive review by the Federal Cartel Office, which resulted in approval of the takeover at the end of February 2023 subject to conditions, including the obligation to sell the regional Tuffi brand. This is now one of the main reasons why the Cologne site will be closed at the end of October 2023. The Tuffi brand has already been sold. All employees at the Cologne site receive job offers for the other production sites of the Theo Müller Group. As a possible subsequent use of the area, a development with several hundred apartments is in the room.
All Tuffi activities were acquired by Hochwald Foods.
