Lidl has signed contracts with Lactalis, Savencia and Sodiaal in France. The basic payment for milk producers whose raw material is used to make products for Lidl has risen by 1.5c to 38.5c or 41c including all premiums. At Lactalis, this affects 220m litres of milk.
Savencia supplies the national brands St Môret, Bresse Bleu, Fol Epi, Caprice des Dieux with an estimated volume of 130m l at a milk price of 37.4c to 38.3c depending on the region. Including bonuses, the milk price is 40.1c.
At Sodiaal (brands Candia, Entremont, Yoplait) the amount paid to farmers is 39.5c basic price (41c including bonuses) for the national brands and the private labels sold at Lidl. The agreement covers just over 22m litres per year.
