Rabobank has compiled a current ranking of the world’s largest milk processors based on the 2019 figures. A new addition is the Indian Gujarat Co-Operative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul). Compared to 2018, sales of the top 20 dairies grew by only 1.3%, compared to 2.5% in the previous year. In total, there have been 115 mergers or acquisitions in the global dairy industry in the last 115 years, of which 64 took place in Europe, 39 in North America and 25 in Asia.
