With a clear focus on the global megatrends of health, sustainability and plant-based alternatives, the group’s four companies present tailor-made solutions for the food industry. From micronutrient mixtures to stabilisers, from plant-based meat alternatives to functional lipids – the range of solutions shows the group’s innovative strength and market expertise. As a subsidiary of the family-run Stern-Wywiol Group, which comprises 13 sister companies, the companies benefit from various synergies. The combined know-how of 125 R&D specialists in the Ahrensburg Stern Technology Centre is available to them.
SternVitamin is presenting a variety of premix solutions for current trend topics at FiE. The focus is on micronutrient premixes for meal replacement products and functional snacks. Visitors can taste the SternPower Up premix in a matcha wafer, which supports mental energy and cognitive performance. A plant-based meal replacement drink developed in cooperation with Planteneers will also be presented. It provides a quarter of the daily requirement of vitamins and minerals and reflects the expertise of both companies. Another product innovation is the protein-rich meal replacement milk drink, which was developed in close cooperation between SternVitamin and Hydrosol. The basis for this is the stabilisation system designed by Hydrosol, which ensures a stable emulsion even with a high protein content and creates a creamy mouthfeel. At the same time, the recipe offers a good source of fibre. SternVitamin contributed a specially developed micronutrient premix that ensures a balanced supply of vitamins and minerals. Hydrosol develops and produces tailor-made stabilisation and texturising systems for dairy and delicatessen products as well as meat and sausage products. At the FiE, Hydrosol will be presenting highlights from the Best Ager concepts that were specially developed for the 55+ generation. Yogonaise, a mayo sauce with thermised yogurt that is rich in fibre and calcium, and a protein-rich pudding with a low-fat content, enriched with calcium, vitamin D3 and K2, will be presented on site. Other focus products from the dairy, delicatessen and meat sectors can also be tasted.
Planteneers develops functional systems for plant-based alternatives in the areas of meat, sausage, fish products, cheese, dairy products and delicatessen. The appearance at the FiE is dedicated to the topics of cost optimisation, clean label and enjoyment. As an example of cost-optimised solutions, the plant-based experts present functional systems for the production of cold cuts such as Lyoner, meat sausage and salami. Another highlight is plant-based steaks with fine marbling and salami in clean label format, which are also enriched with micronutrients.
Sternchemie is a strategic partner for functional lipid solutions in the food industry. The company is presenting its portfolio of natural and functional lipids in Frankfurt: lecithins, high-quality MCT oils and powders, vitamin-rich red palm oil, spray-dried coconut milk powder. The tailor-made and innovative product solutions offer maximum flexibility in terms of functionality, safety and processing to produce safe and healthy food.
