Worldwide dairy market 2030

Date: 23.06.2021Source: IDM

Mary Ledman, Global Dairy Strategist at Rabobank International, just stated at the Zenith Global Dairy Congress 2021 that the US, EU and New Zealand will remain the largest mopro exporters until 2030. New Zealand will tend to stagnate in terms of volume, while the other two trading blocs will continue to increase their market shares. Buyers will have to expect price premiums for New Zealand goods in the future.

China will continue to dominate the global mopro trade until 2030, but import patterns will change due to the country’s ageing society and the need for whey products for pork production. Chinese dairy consumption will change little in quantitative terms, but significantly in qualitative terms, according to Rabobank.
